Take a look at contributions by other students:
The emergence and growth of new genres such as blogs, wikis and social networks has provided a unique opportunity for communicating in English - and SL teachers and learners certainly benefit from that.
Some sites seem to be developed for educational purposes such as edmodo (a platform which offers a wide range of tools such as forums), collaborative writing, storytelling, mailing to a "future self", timeline makers. Other materials can be adapted to fulfill linguistic aims: wikipedia, Facebook, blogging, text messaging. The possibilities are many and depend on lesson purpose and teahcer's willingness and time available to explore them.
